Here, your mission as an Optimization and Commissioning Technician will be to commission, optimize, and validate commercial and industrial refrigeration systems while ensuring safe, compliant, and high-performance installations that meet project requirements.

Your tasks
- Commission commercial and industrial refrigeration systems using NH₃, HFC, and CO₂ technologies to ensure optimal performance and compliance with project requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and control sequences to properly plan commissioning activities.
- Verify and validate the operation of system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and controllers.
- Perform system adjustments, calibrations, and optimizations to maximize efficiency, stability, and reliability.
- Conduct operational testing, performance measurements, and diagnostics to confirm installation quality and compliance.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues to ensure proper system operation.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations on job sites to maintain a safe work environment.
- Document completed work and prepare required reports to ensure traceability and project follow-up.
- Collaborate with project managers, refrigeration technicians, and clients to support project execution.
- Communicate technical information, observations, and issues to the Engineering Department and Project Managers.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Your background and your strengths
Are you the person we’re looking for?
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Refrigeration completed.
- Valid CCQ competency cards.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in refrigeration system commissioning (an asset).
- Experience with CO₂ systems and sustainable refrigeration technologies (an asset).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, autonomy, and resourcefulness.
- Availability to travel according to project requirements.
