As a Purchasing and Estimating Technician, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of our activities by managing purchasing activities, preparing estimates, following up on customer files, and providing administrative support to our service team.

Your tasks

  • Manage purchases for technicians and inventory while sourcing the best prices from suppliers.
  • Independently process technician recommendations and ensure proper follow-up on requests.
  • Prepare estimates based on work orders and ensure their accuracy.
  • Maintain rigorous management of estimates and customer files.
  • Provide courteous, professional, and efficient customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Schedule follow-ups, manage product returns, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Follow up on the compliance of required documents with the team.
  • Contribute to improving and optimizing tracking tools and spreadsheets.
  • Replace the warehouse clerk during absences or according to operational needs.
  • Actively collaborate with the entire department to ensure smooth communication.
  • Perform any other related tasks that contribute to the team’s success.

Your background and your strengths

  • High school diploma (DES).
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, priority management, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility.
