As a Welder at Zero-C, you will play a key role in manufacturing steel structures designed to support industrial refrigeration units. Your expertise will directly contribute to the quality, reliability, and performance of the equipment we build for customers across Canada.

Your tasks

  • Read and interpret technical drawings to determine the sequence of fabrication and assembly.
  • Weld steel structures using MIG, FCAW, and other appropriate welding equipment.
  • Perform various welding types and positions while meeting the company’s quality standards and procedures.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane or jib crane to move and assemble steel components.
  • Cut metal using tools such as grinders, oxy-fuel cutting equipment, and band saws.
  • Install components according to 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Inspect the quality of welds and completed assemblies.
  • Participate in the development of new products.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient production.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Your background and your strengths

  • Welding training or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least one year of welding experience (an asset).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
  • Good command of French, both spoken and written.
  • English proficiency is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, precision, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Manual dexterity and versatility.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and strong initiative.
