Position Summary

In collaboration with the Purchasing Department team, and more specifically for the needs of the Service-Laval department, the buyer manages purchases, orders and returns, according to the company’s inventories and current needs. You will carry out the necessary follow-ups to ensure the availability of materials in an efficient manner.

The proposed challenges

  • You make purchases for technicians and for inventory, while checking product prices, availability, associated transport costs and economic lot sizes to be considered.
  • Your autonomy enables you to process recommendations from technicians, prepare and ensure proper management of quotations and customer follow-ups.
  • Your communication and relationship management skills are essential to maintain good customer and supplier contacts, while providing the best possible customer service.
  • You will plan and carry out various follow-ups, as well as requests for merchandise returns, in an organized manner.
  • You will be able to replace the Warehouse Clerk, as well as travel on his or her behalf, in his or her absence or as required.

You will perform other related tasks.

Desired Profile

Are you the person we’re looking for?

  • You have a minimum of two years’ experience in procurement and purchasing management, as well as knowledge of industrial refrigeration.
  • Your driver’s license is up to date and valid.
  • M365 and Maestro software tools are not new to you.
  • Since we have customers across Canada and the United States, you can communicate easily in English and French, both orally and in writing.
  • Your values include commitment, trust, rigor, integrity and respect.
